The Club at Shadow Lakes is proud to have as our Executive Chef Art Mangie, who is passionate about providing an exciting and varied menu for our members and their guests. Through innovative culinary techniques and new menu choices, Art consistently ensures that the dining experience at Magg's Restaurant is far from ordinary.

Before coming to The Club at Shadow Lakes, Art served as chef at a number of distinguished restaurants, most recently the Wooden Angel Restaurant in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania. There, he developed the highly praised “Art’s Cuisine” and became well known locally for his culinary expertise. His other working venues included the Sheraton Inn banquet facility in Frederick, Maryland; Heck’s Café in Lakewood, Ohio, specializing in fine ethnic cuisine; and Canteen Corp, where he provided executive dining services for PNC Bank and catered events for two to 7,000 people. Art is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Chef’s Association Chef’s Apprentice Program and holds an Executive Chef’s rating.

Art is a Beaver County native who was born and raised in Monaca and currently resides in Center Township. Married 31 years, he and his wife Jean are parents of a son, Arthur, who recently completed his Master's in Business Administration, and a daughter, Kristina, who is a National Honor Society student at Center High School. Completing the family is a chocolate Labrador named Pazzo, which means “crazy” in Italian.
